    I has rained for a week straight here. and also dropped from high 80's to 60's during the day and down in the low 40's at night. Thinking that triggered it for him.

    Some males stop eating because they only have breeding on their mind. ;)

    1200 grams is a great weight I would not worry even if he goes 6 months without food, of course you still need to monitor him, make sure he is well hydrated, give him so good rest between females and pay close attention to him since breeding can take it's toll on males but really at this point he will do just fine.

    Really no need to make a male that size to eat a lot to get ready fro breeding.

    I cut back males food size during breeding to keep them more active and less lazy. Keeps them breeding great, and eating all winter while breeding.
