    But a used free fridge + heat tape + thermostat = $75 give or take and holds 8+ clutchs.

    but its a space issue more than n e thing right now, plus only having 4 females that are 1000gram + i dont think im gonna have a huge breeding season for first season and all the decent thermostats im seeing are 100.00 and up ...

    When I worked for TRE we sold them.... quit selling them because we got tired of getting them back.. they can not and will not hold a temp steady. We literally replaced like 1 of every 3 we sold

    Honestly if I had to pick between the commercially available incubators I'd get the hovabator. I have a homemade but a buddy of mine bought a hovabator and wasn't sure how to set it with perlite etc, he brought it to my place I set it up, incubated his clutch and they all hatched, 6 of 6, no issues whatsoever. It is small, you can't fit shoe boxes in it, you basically place the eggs right on the perlite or on egg crate, but it works. I can send you pics of the setup if you want. That said if space is not an issue I'd build my own.

    ok for you guys using this incubator what size tubs are u putting ur eggs in in it? can ya maybe post a pics of it setup with tubs? either post on here or email to me so i can take a look...
