I used the red 5oz. lixit bottles, and my asf's managed to chew through where I attached the hanging wire. When I bought the purple 8oz. ones I mcgyver'd the top of them to prevent chewing.

Traded 25 of my weaner ASFs for a medium 1.2 of rats at the store today :) now to design my rack.

Going to trade/feed of my remaining 30 weaners, 12 one month olds, 4 two month olds and one of the females from my 1.3. I then broke my 1.3 to 1.2, hopefully removing the homicidal female.

EDIT: Wow, the one removed ASF started attacking weaners in about ten minutes. She was fed off.

I personally would not have traded for many, seeing as trio's usually go for around $10-15, It will take a month or 2 for your rats to begin breeding.

Eh, local store charges $6 for medium rats, $4 for adult soft furs. Not a bad deal to me 25 weaners that will take 2 months to be feeding size for breeding size/age rats.

I still have 46 weaned asfs and 2 more ASF females ready to drop more after the trade :slamhead:

The rats took the tank space I had the traded weaners occupying.

lol, I'm in south knoxville. You could always take the tanks to critter barn but they're about OD'd on used tanks.

Well, store refused the trade (they gave me the rats before, I went by to trade in my weaners)
Owner refused them, saying they weren't weaned.......

I've been pulling them at 4-5 weeks....these look weaned to you?

I guess I'll go by and pay for the rats later? lol
