Have you tried rat pinks yet? Give them a shot. If i can't get a baby to eat a mouse most of the time they will attack a rat pink. They are a lot less jumoy and can be left overnight without stressing the snake jumping all over the place. I will also say that I haven't bred snakes yet, but I have had hatchlings that haven't eaten before and this has worked for me.

I wont try to assist feed till sometime longer than a month if the hatchling is healthy and of good weight. If it does not eat my rat pups and rat pinks that I breed then I try a mouse hopper. If that don't work then I make sure his enclosure is really dark and private and cramped up in the inside and I offer a live a mouse crawler in overnight. If still nothing I put him in a brown paper bag with a mouse crawler overnight and that has always worked for me so far.

    Re: Hatchling Assist Feed Issues
I had two problem feeders this year. They would not eat anything! I assist fed them with rat pinks, Live and f/t. They didn't get the picture, but took them down. Then I tried f/t ASFs, they went down good. the next time I tried live mouse hoppers, and they went for them. now they will take live or f/t mice, rat pups, or ASFs. ( Patience is the key.)
It is so much easer to get a soft fur hopper down, with much less stress, than a rat pink. IMO.
    It works for me.
    Hope this helps!

Not sure but I'll just go ahead and say what everyone else just told me last week. Put them into a small tub, let them get secure for a couple days, and then put in a live weanling mouse. I just had a problem with a hatchling that has never eaten before and would even attempt. I did this and he snatched up that weanling mouse like it was double bacon cheeseburger in about 2 minutes. Good luck, I hate assist feeding.
