Making a lid. Have a few Q's

For my snake I use a combination of these

Idk if that could work for your custom lid, but as long as it has a frame I think it should work :)

Edit: I say you go with the Petco ones since it would be easier to custom mold it into the shape you need. The petsmart one is better for screen lids

i use books lol, but you can use these:
these would probably be best, since they will require less drilling, and they have a key, so you know nobodys gonna mess with your snake if you dont want them too:

or you can use these, but they might be more dificult to install, since you may need to extend the rim that the lid sits on:

Hmm... in type is difficult. I guess the best way to describe what I did was I gently grasped her tail turning it over with a thumb on each side of her hole with one thumb(near the end of the tail) kind of across it and you firmly roll your thumb towards her hole while at the same time putting a little pressure with your other thumb providing a kind of resistance so that it "pops" out. That's the best way I can describe it lol.. watching Youtube videos is usually better. Make sure the video is by an expert too :)
