I find it easier to go from live to f/t, but find it hard to go from frozen to live.

I'm a live feeder. For everyone. I'm sure I have a few that will eat ft. But when you have 60. Thawing and going one by one just takes forever. Feeding day with live takes 35-45 min. Pop in and move to the next.
I breed my feeders so it just makes my life easier.

We raise our own ASFs and feed live/PK for convenience. The right size is always available and we don't have to thaw out 50 rats every week. And there is almost no waste when feeding off your own stock. Non-eater? Put the rat back where you got it.

Frozen in most cases. Just easier. With babies I usually start with live pinks ,like to get a few meals in them. Once they are eating its usually no problem to switch to f/t. This last litter I just started on f/t, to a few a little longer to start but no real issue.

Babies are started on live. Once they gradute to 3-4 week old rats that are able to bite, I switch them to prekilled. From that point on, all prekilled. I only have one breeder male who refuses anything other than live mice or ASF.

I feed both. Just depends on the mood I'm in, which I'll be feeding the next round. Or if live production is a bit off for whatever reason I'll feed FT until it gets going again. No issues switching back and forth, especially this time of year. Seems like everyone eats anything dangled in the tub.

I feed live as well because of convenience. I really don't like dealing with f/t because it takes so much time and I hate wasting rats. I have a few that will eat f/t, but it's just easier to throw them live rats along with everyone else. I breed my own rats because it's cost effective.

As for feeding babies f/t, I will do it if the buyer requests it.

My ball pythons have always been fed live. I feed the colubrids f/t for convenience sake. I've never pre-killed, and I've neve had an injury. I've fed off well over 15K live prey in the time I've been keeping balls.
