Like Ron White says, "You can't fix stupid." I agree with mpkeelee. The shop owner doesn't need business from those kinds of people and this hobby certainly doesn't need nor want them.

Kinra I am with you. My beef is the no research and then discovering that thermostats and enclosures are expensive and not wanting to spend more... I belong to a rescue group and the number of animals that are impulse buys is shocking. After a bit of time the buyer gets board, realizes it wasn't a good idea (giving an iguana to a 3 year old...) and dumps it into someone else's lap.

bdpicha most ignore spelling and gramatical errors. I believe there is a site rule surrounding this.

I probably did take the post to be a little more personal than I should have, but I know the shop is a good shop and they really care for their animals so it bothered me. They said their friend ended up returning the bp (this was also in the post) so that is also good I guess.

I know the hobby doesn't need these kinds of people, but if you look at it from a different angle, these people aren't going to go away so isn't it better if they spend their money in good reptile shops keeping them open for the rest of us instead of the local chain pet stores that we all know are horrible? And if they are posting things like this other people who are not so experienced with reptiles might not even venture into the store. It's really in MY best interest if this store stays open because they have pretty much everything I could ever need AND they are cheaper than Petsmart.

Also I know that posting a thread about someones ignorance that contains typos and spelling errors makes me look foolish, but in my defense I'm a math and science kind of girl and I've never been very good at spelling. It was also after midnight my time and I've been working some pretty long days lately so I was rather tired when I wrote the original post. :P

Kinra dont take it personally about typos. I use my phone the majority of the time and my fat fingers on a little keyboard make me look like an idiot lol its all good we all know what ya meant with the post and you are right. The thing that drives me nuts is these are animals and not domesticated animals. They also dont have hands or feet so of course they bite. They are snakes. Also im on the fence with pet shops cause the majority of them buy the cheapest stock to resell and dont take the appropriate measures in general husbandry. But i know there are some good ones out there but they are few and far between but keep in mind when someone posts and ad like that they make themselves look like an idiot to the people that know snakes and knows that its not the shops fault the snake bit them. It would be like someone blaming ford that they wrecked their focus cause they cant drive worth a damn.

Nobody claimed I was wrong. I did. I shouldn't have posted that, especially being new here.

I apologize for being so "nit-picky". It wasn't necessary.

That is the same reason I tend to bump heads with morons.
Its not what they are saying but more, who is reading it.
They talk a bunch of crap and the people that dont know any better think its true.

Good stepping up. Everyone here tries to be helpful and respectful of each other.
People come from all walks of life, and our main objective is sharing info on keeping our animals healthy and happy. There's really no room for picking apart silly things like grammatical errors because it serves no useful purpose.:)

Last post in this thread for me.

I think I was just in funk last night. I didn't intend to be mean really, but it turned out that way. This forum has been very nice to visit and has provided so much information.

To the OP, sorry for derailing your thread.
