My Seagull is cedar, maple, cherry and...ROSEWOOD! Dum duh dum duh!The saying about the opposite of progress is Congress definitely applies to this case! Sheesh.

Slash sucks. He is NOT that great. Hendrix wasn't a great guitarist either. Influential, absolutely, but neither can be considered skilled by any means.

Skilled players would be people like Mikael Akerfeldt, Jeff Loomis, John Petrucci, Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Muhammed Sucimez, etc.

and im sorry but i must disagree, Jimi is way overrated, ill give you that, but to say he is not skilled by any means is just absolute foolishness. The man was way ahead of his time in alot of his playing styles and idea. Playing with teeth, behind the back, and under your leg does take some skill I'm sure you can agree. Describing surround sound before it was invented and atttempting to mix classical, blues, and psychedelic rock in each song does take some understanding and knowledge of both music and the guitar...in conclusion take back the comment abt jimi and we can be friends again...lol jk...but seriously

Page is also overrated. My stance on Hendrix stands. He was influential, nothing more. He was a very sloppy player. Playing noise behind your back or with your teeth is just showboating and not really all that hard. Guess being a clean player only amounts for so much when you're tripping on acid at Woodstock. It was more about the experience. Now about him being good in his day, put him up against any decent bluegrass finger picker of that era. I can't stand bluegrass, but some of them boys can absolutely shred! So meh! :D :P

Another guy that puts these guys to shame is Andy McKee. Now there is some talent! Every time I watch him play I contemplate throwing my guitar away.

Well. Then I'm screwed. I have a chess set that's ebony and ivory.
