when i got my first one back in may i had done about a weeks worth of researching before i got him so i knew to let him settle in for a few days. i think i fed on day 3 or 4 and left him alone for the next few days and now he's an awesome little guy :gj:. my second one i just picked up a little over a week ago. he's about 4 yrs old and in kinda bad shape because of the previous owner but i fed him on day 2 because he seemed ok in his new home and i knew it had been at least a month since his last feeding but he took it like a champ. i took him out on day 6 for a few minutes of handling and every day since except for feeding day which he took even better then the first so i think i went the right way with him.

Yeah it was chaos in my car when we brought her home. We had like 5 tanks in the car and 4 snakes. Mine was in a paper bag, the boas were in theirs and my friends BP that's like a really good size was in her huge square tank. We were all squished lol. Once we got her home and her tank set up she was all over exploring. The store I got her at told me she ate 3 days ago so waiting until next week to feed and handle her should be no biggy. At least I can look over at her whenever :)) she looks really healthy, good size, nice clear eyes, etc. Hopefully her first feeding goes well since she's captive bred :)

I've took a few pics of her before putting her in the tank so I'll be posting them up soon!

Congrats and welcome to the addiction!

I got my first BP last November and I have since acquired 1 more and a Colombian Boa Constrictor. This site is an amazing plethora of information and people that don't hesitate to offer sound advice.

Looking forward to seeing some pics of your snake :D
