pill pockets little treat things with hollow centres and the are quite sticky inside. I have no trouble giving pills with them (I sometimes use the pocket as a treat with out pill so add a pill and bingo.

The Snake I'd leave be for a while a bit of stuck shed isn't a huge problem unless it shrinks too much and is an intact ring. Bad sheds can also be caused by stress too so moving new place new people can generate a bad shed.

I have an idea about her attitude change. I too have seen the same with rescues they seem calm and easy going but then after a while turn stressed and snappy.

It is just a pet idea of mine so take it as it is. A new arrival or rescue (I usually deal with rescues about 6 a year) comes in super stressed and rather than show signs of stress or injury they hide that stress and problems (quite common in wild animals that have been hurt I watched a deer stand and run with a badly broken leg and act quite normal until it collapsed) They behave like every thing is normal nothing odd at all. As they start to settle in they start to show signs of the great stress they have been under and react to it. It usually goes away as they continue to settle it.

Why the other animals would react I have no idea. It is a Idea I have had working with rescued animals off and on.

Everyone has calmed back down to their normal docile happy self now it seems. Though, there is still a bit of old shed left on the little girl - I am taking my time trying to get it off - sometimes she will give me a long "sighhhhh" on certain parts of her stuck shed (usually around her tail) - and other times she is like "ohhh yeah, right there, that feels good" - and pushes her body hard against my hand... so cute.

Oh, and "kitty with a cold" (that's my new nickname for her) has just about fully recovered now - which is awesome news as she is getting up there in age and the vet seemed quite concerned about her URI. She's got a couple more days left on antibiotics, but the sneezing and coughing and misery has basically cleared up.
