You have to study your genetics. Spider = dominant Clown = recessive
Spider x Normal = 50/50 Spider/Normal
Spider x Clown = 100% normal het clown

its not that scientific, use the punnett square. helps you SEE how it all works instead of just reading a bunch of stuff.

Hi,
I'm lazy - I'd want to buy a female pied now rather than a male so that in four years I might have bred my pieds and now be in prime position to start adding genes into the mix to make pied combo's more quickly.

Technically that's not true. Each EGG has a 50% chance of being pied or het pied. Not that the clutch will be 50/50.
Same thing with co-doms bred to normals. It's not that you'll statisically get 50/50, it's that each EGG has a 50/50 chance of be normal or co-dom.
