saw the same snake, also saw a proven breeder het for ghost for 100

    No...

However I have a friend there who will be selling custom cages. I will probably have a table later this fall at one of the Overland Park shows...

At the seattle shows, I want to sayi saw quite a few hatchlings for around $20. Normal females, depending on weight at breeding size go for anywhere from $50 to $200, more if closer to breeding season.

At petco they are $79 for hatchlings that typically have had 3-5 meals in them, which is pretty pricey.

One thing I have noticed is that a lot of breeders don't even bother to bring their normals. You know they have them, and some will even say, if you are looking for normals they are all at home. Which I think is weird, you would think at least a few of them would sell. I have seen them go for $10-$30 depending on size and sex (not including sub to adult females).

I was having a conversation with a local breeder and we were talking about this last night.

We were debating that the larger breeders kill there normals. Or at least the males because they have no use for them. They cost more to keep then what they can sell them for. I can understand why they would do this, but, not saying thats something i would ever do.

I paid $40 for my normal 16" female. I didn't shop around or anything though and I wanted her NOW. LOL :)

Cool........ I'll probably make it to a couple of the OP shows also. I'm hoping there is a good turn out for Manhattan this weekend.

And just so I don't totally hijack this thread...... In regards to normals at shows. I always see them for 10 to 25 dollars. I think it is because they have either been bought in bulk or come from a large breeder who has more normals then he knows what to do with. I would rather leave them at home and sell them locally for $35 to $40 or give them to close friends or family.

I've seen $10 for normals but, these are usually WC or farmed. We sell normal BP's at shows for $25 or more (depending on pattern/color). Any snake we sell has been well taken care of and is eating regularly. You get what you pay for.
