Misinformed People lol

LOL! Yeah, my boyfriends mom found out I had a ball python and she looked horrified. She asked us what we would do with it once we had children. I told her we would probably feed the infant to the snake, solve 2 problems at once! lol, no really though I explained to her that I would keep him the same way and that it was pretty safe. She is still upset with me, I find it so strange how little people know about the subject.

when i got my snakes my mom told me that when i do decide to have kids that i need to get rid of my snakes. so dumb and this isnt someone i can avoid its my mom ugh

Why does everyone think they'll eat children?

My mom said the same thing, but I responded with "There's nothing dangerous about it, I'm not getting rid of anything"

My parents/family never said anything bad about my hobby. Ive converted few family members into snake lovers who now own snakes. My mom has named a few that she likes the most when she sees them.

Movies, T.V., the news, even the bible all depict serpents to be evil baby eating creatures. It's up to reptile people to educate them of otherwise.
