If these temps continue the snake can have problems such as failure to eat, and can also lead to fatal respiratory infections.
Temps are VERY important to keep accurate for a reptile.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I recall reading that ambient temps can vary/drop IF your hot-spot is accurate (90)... as they can always just camp out on the heat, whenever the room gets a bit chilly. When I lived on the coast my ambient temps were rarely above 72-74, and I've never had a snake get sick or anything. It's warmer where I live now, and they're loving it - me, not so much. :P
Of course proper temps are important, and the OP needs to get a thermostat asap... but I just wanted to mention this, before people start adding extra heat sources or cranking heaters to get a perfect 80.
