    It does have a calibrate button, what do I do put it in there and push calibrate?

    Cigar stores sell calibration kits, they're inexpensive.

    No it allows you (or in my case my snake) to adjust the reading by 1% increments up or down. The kits or a simple salt test (it is within 1% accuracy and that is likely enough especially most digital ones are 5%-15% up or down.) Result in a exact humidity you would just adjust the hygrometer to match it. I check mine at least once a year, I am something of a spaz however.
