Interesting, so should you only do it to an extent? i mean i'm sure its not good to do that forever.

It's generally not recommended that you breed siblings together, but breeding a parent to a child is okay. If I remember correctly this okay to do for a generation or two but you will eventually start seeing problems if you do it for several generations.

its my understanding that 3 generations is max for breeding, i.e. mother --> son -->daughter. but for what morph, i would say granite :) but i am biased, as granite was my first.

    I agree :)

and that makes sense i don't know if I would want to go past 2 generations just to be safe.

I personally really like fireflies, but they're not as exciting as bees and pewters etc. Just high high yellows. Pastels have sooo many complementing morphs, you can't go wrong :} You could get him another pastel girlfriend on the cheap to try for supers, so that you can 100% get that pastel gene in future projects.

That's actually a really good thought, because im a poor college kid and don't have all the money in the world to spend on BPs.
If i can't get a cinnamon i may end up just getting another pastel to go for a super.

Whatever morph you decide to go with, when you start producing babies you can start trading and getting other genes to work with and not have to lay out a ton of money for them.

I have a pied and het pied female and I'm going to buy a pied male and breed them next season. I don't want a whole bunch of pieds but I figure that I can get a nice assortment of snakes without paying out more for them by doing a little trading.
