My BP has also done that too, seems perfectly normal.

i wish mine did that, he never comes out of that damn hide! Only time i saw him do that was when i got a new digital thermo stickied on the glass of the tank, he came out stared at it like that for like 5 minutes, checked it out then went back into hiding, and that was that.
