More BP questions!

I want to add something here. Even though I also don't condone buying from a petstore, I got mine from a well kept one and they all always look healthy there.

Additionally, the snake probably strikes at the employees because they are putting their hands in its territory. It would probably do the same thing if you tried picking it up. However, perhaps it is just hungry and they don't feed it enough. Not a good sign.

aaaarg, i just spent like 30 mins looking at morphs, and now I want one :rolleyes:

usually, which are the cheapest morphs? I mean, im not gonna spend 300 bucks or more on my first snake :/

The cheapest morph that I know of is pastel, from a breeder, as a hatchling, and a boy.

I agree that the snake striking is not a good sign, it sounds cage aggressive to me.. not fun! I've dealt with 7 foot cage aggressive snakes before, and while it was a manageable pine snake, I wouldn't want to deal with a heavier bodied snake. But if you're REALLY set on that snake, buy a hook, unless you don't mind being tagged with a few hundred teeth ;D
Which isn't really that bad.. but I like to avoid getting bitten when possible.

I have a tank and it is great. Bo problems cleaning or with temp and humity.

I doubt that baby Is really cage aggressive. I think the actual situation is he's highly stressed and just not happy there.

why do some breeders cut the eggs open and others just wait for the babies to 'pop out'???

Normals come in lots of different colors. I have 2 normals and one possible het and NONE of them look anything alike, so you should be able to find a darker normal but you most likely won't find one that is nearly black.

I believe some breeders cut the eggs to make sure that nothing goes wrong. I believe it is possible for babies to drowned in the eggs. I think most will cut after the first one pips though, not sure as I can't speak for everyone and this is just my understanding.

I agree, it also sounds like baby behavior too. I had a few that loved to snap at me when I opened their tubs when they were little, but have since calmed down.
