I found the thread about UKmorphs producing a "different" spider out of an albino spider(M) x spider(F) breeding. Of coure this thread was in 2008 so I dont know if they have seen anything "super" about this spider but it looks pretty awesome. I saved a couple pictures from his thread on this. He said in his thread "It has very reduced markings and it almost borders on having a silver base colour, also the usual yellow to white flank colour transition is not present. " I think it is very nice! But again he didnt say it was a super spider.

that was probably a pre shed picture and/or a hidden gene was presant. we have a clutch from a honey bee x spider poss het hypo hatching right now. 4 spiders and 1 normal. 2 spiders and 1 normal cam out and died. the other 2 spiders are alive but have kinks. the normal also had a defect, missing an eye.
now these are being incubated at a friends house and i do not know but suspect to high of a incubation temperature. know way for me to know at this point. 1 thermostat reads 88 another they hooked up reads 91.

also the no substrate method of incubation was used.

Another thing to consider with this baby is how spiders can look very different from each other as babies. There is something about the melanin in them that can cause some odd color changes in them.

Plus, some albinos (blush albinos) create hets that hatch looking a lot like axanthics and then darken up with age. No matter what morph they are.

The supposed super spider would not look any different from any other spider. It isn't like the "pearl".

Yeah those pictures i put up just show an awesome looking spider that were pre-shed pictures. I have never said it was a super and neither did UKmorphs. I personally dont believe in a true super spider but just wanted other peoples oppinions on it.

It would take several seasons, at least 4 or 5, with this male being bred to as many non-spider carrying females as possible and each and every one producing nothing but spider and spider cross offspring to say without doubt it was a super. Perhaps it is simply no one wants to make that big an effort ?

Well it would never be 100% proven ever, since there is always a small chance that the heterozygous spider is always throwing its spider gene, but look at it this way.
Chance of a het spider throwing all spiders for....
    5 eggs = 1/32
    10 eggs = 1/1024
    15 eggs = 1/32,768
    20 eggs = 1/1,048,576
27 eggs = 1/134,217,728 (Time to play the lottery)

27 eggs is when bhb said their homozygous pin was in fact homozygous. I think you could be pretty confident with a male in a season or 2, A female would take longer to prove out, so how many eggs do you want to see?

I had a spider male that threw all spiders, there's a thread on here somewhere. Unfortunately he died and thus I was never able to get as many clutches out of him to "prove" he never threw anything but normals. But it was several clutches, nothing but spiders ever hatched, although some eggs went bad. Even "dead" eggs that I cut open, if they had a formed fetus, the fetus had spider markings.

All his breedings were to non-spiders. As I understand it, NERD tried to produce a super spider for years and eventually figured there was no super form.

I don't claim mine was a "super" but only that I suspected he MIGHT be. Of course, now it's unprovable, since he passed away.
