I hate feeding my snakes

    It used to make me jump too but now I am used to it and hold on to the rat for a few extra seconds making small movements like the rat is struggling.

    I still jump. I'm a short guy so snakes at or above eye level are a pain for me..

    Ha Ha. I have 1 female who smells the rat the moment I walk into the room. By the time I have the door open she's almost always half way out of the enclosure. Been this way since day 1 - loves to eat!
