Markers are not 100% that an animal is het Pied, but in a het to het breeding they can play a big part on who to hold back for future breeding. Some lines of pieds have stronger markers than others as well.
I don't have any experience with spiders or Bumble bees, but here is my 100% Pastel het Pied.
Just translated, HAHA that would be my dream place, if it were open 24/7 and had wifi. :D

I wouldn't discount het pied markers. I know a snake with markers isn't necessarily a het; however, if I offered a batch of possible het pieds would you pick the ones with markers? I did in 2005 and all 5 proved out to be het pied...:D
