    As noted flexwatt is typical for racks, it was not designed to be used with out a thermostat. It is only rated for use up to 85ºC it will go much higher than this. The middle placement is the typical way if you are building a rack plan a channel for the probe it takes up some space.

    I use a rheostat.... nothing wrong at all..... but yea, flexwatt and a rheostat and your fine.
