My laundry room!

I don't know that I would do that. You can get loose nipples, rotten o-rings, rats stuffing bedding into the nipples to create a constant flow, etc. Leaks will happen eventually... I have had two in 5 months. The watering systems are definitely worth the occasional mess, but I still like having a limit as to how much water can flood my tubs/garage.

i would check out justin kobylka's "pro tips" video on plumbing a rodent rack. i've found he has preemptively answered almost every question that has come to mind with his youtube channel. in general i think i've learned more information passively from his website than almost every other source i've consulted combined. also, your handiwork certainly stands up to his and it looks like you have a very similar set-up, so i wouldn't think it would take you terribly long. (on the other hand, i have problems cutting holes in sterilite, so i'm probably beyond help).

Thanks for the advise. I never thought about that. I would hate to flood my basement. I have had a few water bottles malfunction that made the bedding wet. It makes since to limit the amount of water.

Yeah, its a good thing that I always fold clothes upstairs, and My Washer and dryer don't take up much room;) I will post the other side once I get my mice set up.:D

Justin Kobylka does have some very good informational videos. To be honest though, once you buy what you need it's actually very very simple and common sense to put together. I used the flex tubing and haven't really had any problems with it, there has been a few times that I have had some problem with build up in tubing which is why I have an abundance of T's or connectors. Find the problem area and remove the foot of tubing and replace it. The essentials you need is the bucket (any bucket/container will work) the Tank connector ( looks like this http://www.bunnyrabbit.com/equipment...0-6115-200.jpg )
tubing, T's , and then the watering valve. Once you are looking at everything it's common sense on how it will all go together.

Just don't hook up to a waterline/regulator, use a 5 gallon bucket instead.
Yes, you will eventually have a flood, but if it's on a bucket, you wil only get a flood in one tub...
With that many bins, you will be so much happier with the watering system....
Everyone always says how expensive a watering system is, but if you think about it, you have 4-6 buck in each and every water bottle... Valves are $3 each, for a rack of 6, you're looking at about $40-50 total.

How do you keep them from smelling. I only keep two 10 gallon tanks with just a few mice & rats and I can't stand the smell. I change out the bedding about every few days - maybe that just isn't enough??

I just can't stand the smell of rodents.
