Did you get the pastel "female" from a kid in Mass who "just needed to get rid of her?"

Either that or the person selling not only doesn't know the correct sex of said snake let alone what a snake like that is actually worth. I see people in the Denver area selling normals at an inflated price on Craigslist.

I love that look! Most people don't know what the heck I'm doing to thier poor snake when I break out a little metal rod and a bottle of lube. :D

I always bring my probes with me when buying a new snake. I don't know why so many people are afraid to learn to probe. Its a very simple process. I find it a lot easier than popping. I was never any good at popping anyways. I've seen some people almost break the poor snakes in half trying to pop them and even seen a couple make them bleed from it when they didn't know what they were doing. I've yet to draw a drop of blood from probing.

That said, $100 for a 1,300g male pastel is still a good deal any way you slice it. Most quality babies go for that.

I hhave a probe kit but I sstill not 100% comfortable doing it , I rather try to pop cause most males end up relaseing a sperm plug when I try to pop them.

I probes snakes and still end up wit hthe worng sex lol ( never push hard cause I would be the one to give a female a extra vent she don't need or want. ( plus it easier when sitting down to do lol..

The guy who probed him went up pretty high...afterwards it bled a little.... had a little blood on the newspaper..then he said it could still be a girl..does that make sense ..i just figured he was trying to make me feel better he thinks it is male cause the probe went pretty high...but why did it bleed...

My guess is its a female and he over probed and punctured something and caused some bleeding.

I dont trust probing on a species you can pop no matter what size they are.
