How much money do you have to start out with? Do you have a rack ready to go, if so, how many tubs is it? What morphs do you like?

I agree, that's what I did. I bought a young bumble bee and then spent money on some nice single morph females (trying to get one of each, so far I have a lesser, a pinstripe, a few spiders, and a few pastels) A double codom male is a lot less expensive than a female....and you can breed them sooner.

And then you can hold back some of your double females and sell the singles when the doubles are ready.

Name of the game is statistics (haha remember when we were all in highschool and college, hating every second of that class and wondering "when are we EVER gonna use this stuff??" well...we're using it!!) :P

Although....depending on what your pricerange is and how much money you have to invest, (this is what I kinda wish I did) instead of spending $300-400 on 10 different snakes....go splurge and spend $600-800 on 4 females and a nice male....you might want to just want to get a nice double male, and then a couple double females (nice bumble bee on kingsnake for $500 bucks shipped, can't beat that!) Instead, I ended up with 17 snakes, 15 of them are single morphs. I could've cut that number in half and had a couple more double visuals.

i have enough to start the right way ;) rack is a work in progress. figuring out the way i want to go with that. and i really like all the bee morphs and possibilities, along with the BELs and pies

haha i AM in college. but no way in hell could i be any sort of science major. i do not do chemistry haha if i did i would be a marine bio major. and yeah thats what im planning on doing. bumble bee male, lesser female, pastel female, pinstripe female

Get a Bee female, blast female, and get a high end male to breed to them. Keep your collection small, but get the best male you can afford..................................or wait until you have your own house.

When breeding fewer (or just a single) male(s) to a stable of multiple females, it always pays to have high quality males. An investment in a single high quality animal goes a longer distance if it can produce multiple clutches.
