    Here's the thing.. Almost all pastels have these "markers" to some extent due to the clean belly pattern. It isn't a good way to tell with morphs that have clean bellies because it's such a common pattern in them.

    I agree. It is more difficult in visible morphs. Here's a pic of a female not het for pied who has a similar pattern-- but reduced....? What do you think?

    I've proven and disproven several Pastel poss het Pied females and from my experience the makers are much more reliable on normals hets than they are on the Pastels.

    Based on the pic, I'd say its a bit of a long-shot, but better chance than if I saw those markers on a non-pastel... does that make sense?
