    Thanks Don! :)

The animal pictured here has the most obvious example of "super bug eyes" I've seen ... If you scroll to the 2nd page, it shows a closeup of his face.

As far as I know it doesn't bother the animal or affect its health at all; it's just an aesthetic thing.

hmm it seems like both of my pastels have that a bit...or it just LOOKS that way because they have lighter eyes....

I have a pastel girl with really big eyes (definitely buggier than my BELs, though not quite pop-eyed). I think to some degree it's just variation in individual morphology, though it is striking that homozygous lessers seem to pop up with them more often than others. Leucistic Texas rat snakes tend to come out with bug-eyes as well.

There was a thread on this forum awhile ago in which a member here hatched some nice super lessers, but with pretty pronounced bug-eyes. I can't seem to find it now though.

Of course, I've never seen a leucistic ball python with eyes as bugged as this rat snake:

.... Reminds me of one of those crazy pigeon breeds!

I actually have a lesser x lesser clutch being incubated right now. Due to hatch June 17th. I will post pic of hatchlings upon arrival.
