    It wouldn't hurt to treat the enclosure either way. Many people treat with PAM on a regular basis (not sure if it is once a month or every 90 days..) as a preventative. Might as well purchase some and use it as a preventative. If the bug you saw was the size of an ant (which is what you seemed to have mistook it for) then I doubt it was a mite. I have not seen them in person but from what I understand they are not that large.

    Best way I can describe it... was really small, black and kinda round. I would say about the size of a pinhead or so. Only found 2 on him and nothing after a 15 minute soak.

    Gonna get Pam anyways in case it does break out or happens later on

    If you do another soak use a drop of dish soap in the water. It breaks The water tension so it will drown The mites.
