They appear to be non-agouti based Siamese. Which is good, agouti Siamese have more diluted points. Meaning, you are working with some decent Siamese genetics! If you have a line of Blues, you can breed them into the Siamese and have Blue Point Siamese Rats.

Personally, I breed pets only. I used to breed for feeders, but I started liking the rats too much and switched over to f/t.

As for feeder breeders leaning towards wanting the really fancy rats, I guess I can understand that too. It adds an interesting aspect to the hobby and with most people into Ball Pythons, one of the things that is fascinating is the genetics. Which is on turbo speed mode with rats. You get to mess around with genetics at a much more rapid pace. Just my thoughts anyway.

I have a female blue but she passed away during winter. She was about 4 years old and developed a tumor. Sadly she never produced another of her kind in the 2 years she bred for me.

This is the female i picked up that was labeled blue line. She produced some awesome babies but when she was breeding i didnt have the new rex blood i got now.

Cool. I thought that was how it worked. I really enjoy my rats as well and I have a couple of rex and I believe a blue spotted. I am still learning about the genetics part of it but I think I would have a really hard time working so hard for a litter then just feeding them off. I am trying really hard not to look at the babies more than I have too. I got way to attached to the first litter.

Pink eye Siamese :)

This is how my Siamese start out. I produce Siamese from a bunch of female Siamese and male Black-Self. This picture doesn't show how dark her feet, nose, and back/tail base area are. But it does show her overall color pretty well.

First Siamese posted is without a doubt a ruby/red eyed Siamese, the other (rex) is a Pink eyed Siamese. I have both in my colony. I prefer the Ruby eyed Siamese.

I have a ruby eyed seal point siamese with very good coat and markings. What would I breed her to so that I would get a black eyed seal point siamese?

I would also like to know how to produce a black-eyed Siamese.
I'm wondering if I just have to find a breeder that has one and buy it from them...or if I can make my own somehow.
I know I've seen rat breeders on here post pictures of them. How did you guys do it?
