Well if you believe the homozygous spider to be lethal, then you lower your chances of pastels and normals.

Just thinking something doesn't make it so. It either is or it isn't, and there doesn't seem to be enough information out there to say whether it is or isn't.

To answer OP's question though, I agree with the others that I'd pair the bumblebee male to the spider. If you are buying another female, any dominant or incompletely dominant mutation would be a good choice. It really would come down to your budget and personal preferences though. It's hard to go wrong when plugging bumblebee into other mutations.

Well obviously, but he asked which pairing is best? well its a matter of opinion to answer that.

NERD has living pearls, I held one at tinley and I haven't seen any hard facts about it being lethal, it just a theory

Personally I would breed the spider with the Pastel to make Bees. Then I would breed the separate bees together to get the Killer Bee.

Spider x Spider is not lethal.

    difference between killer and bublebee?
What is the best cross right now with a spider female--as far as dynamic coloration morphs go?
    thanks, "J"

If you have a bumblebee you can breed it to a pastel to get killer bee's. It will be a small percent chance since you can also get: Bee's, Spiders, Pastels, and Normals.

Don't know what kind of budget you have or even if you are in the market for a new snake, but I recommend getting a lemon blast. Its a Pastel Pinstripe. You'll get some amazing combos out of it. I have 2 Bee's and that will be the next project I look forward to.

On Rafael Martinez's youtube page he goes through an entire interview with Kevin McCurley of NERD. In that video Kevin explains his whole experience with breeding spider x spider, including the pearl project. From what I remember the overall outcome was not very good and he advises against it. I believe the youtube page is Massachusettsballs or something of that sort? I subscribed to it on my youtube channel. The link to my channel where it can be found is below if you are interested. He also goes through his numerous experiences with "failed" projects. It's a very interesting video for sure. If I were to take anyone's advice about it all it would be his.

    Hi,

Pearl is the homozygous form of woma not spider. They did indeed mention spider x spider breedings but Kevin said there was no truth it it being a lethal combo. :gj:

This is Ralphies youtube page and the video you want is Lethal Ball Python combos Part 2
