Yea... Terrible advice, fist off how the heck are you gonna hide that for long?and how will you properly care for a snake you need to hide all the time, plus what happens when he finds out and you have to get rid of the snake and you have nowhere to bring it and no one to take it to...

Your best bet is to convince him to let you get one, otherwise there will just be another snake that ends up thrown away or euthanized...

wasnt necessarily saying for him to get it and hide it.
I properly take/took care of my BP, but once i had it in the house, my moms thought process went from
"hey i hate snakes" to "hey just dont let it get out, and ill let u keep it"

I have a family member that thought snakes were creepy nasty little things. She didn't care that I was getting one, and even my better half, who was terrified of them, was open to me getting one. I would suggest a ball python as well. We have a red tail boa, and she's a lot more "cranky" than the BP's. She's more likely to act threatening (as if a little thing like her could be threatening, hah!) than the balls. Like others have said, just educate your dad, show him some of the videos on youtube (I highly recommend SnakeBytes TV) and have a discussion with him about it. Find out what it is he dislikes about snakes and work with him to maybe change his mind. Best of luck!
