    Hi,

We used them in a store I worked in years ago ( probably around 97 ) but we always took the water out while treating.

Also the age of the piece of strip being used affects the concentration of the chemical - so it could be a huge difference from the end of the old strip you had for a while and the first piece cut of a brand new strip.

But the reason I keep banging on about the release of some of the gas is that it could be compressing her digestive tract at that point which would prevent anything moving through it.

It could also be putting pressure on the tissue surrounding the spine etc.

Both of which could be instantly relieved by letting some of the gas out of the pocket - but that could also open it up to infection in an already sick snake which is why I said to ask your vets opinion.

I'm assuming you have tried bumping up the temps as well? 88/74 is too cold. It should be at least 90/80 IMO. We had a sick snake (was sick when we bought her), and it was suggested to raise the temps a little to help the healing process. It really helped her turn around in our case (she had diarrhea and low weight)... I would ask the vet about this if you haven't already.
