    It's a good sign he's eating. 40g is on the small side if you are trying to put weigt on him though. I'd start bumping the size up to around 75-80g by looking at his size.

    If you are concerned by internal parasites photos of the snake will do no good. You need to look at the other end around the vet for inflammation but in the stool and that unfortunately needs a vet or at least some one very qualified and a microscope. Treatments for parasites are easy and not overly serious for the most part but the vet trip as you have guessed on your own is the best and really only option.

    weight loss with a feeding snake is almost certainly some kind of internal parasites and likely a good number. I have had rescue snakes arrive with tape worms (from rats) and had one of mine with a worm as well (fresh frozen rat...) In my case there was no loss of weight but little weigh gain. It might be that your Cleo is growing bigger and just not able to pack on weight that you usually see and is taking on that lean appearance. Or it could just be a growth spirt they sometimes seem to get longer and then fill out after the lengh is slowed some.
