3rd refusal, 3rd week of not taking food, another wasted rat....... These balls are frustrating me! One is male and the other is female, somebody mentioned it's breeding season, maybe they can smell eachother and want to breed or no? They are in the same rack, with my carpet python in the tub between them, so only 3 snakes in the rack. My boa is in a whole other setup a few feet away. I haven't owned the balls for a full year, so haven't owned them at this time of year last year. I have never had them refuse this long before. The male went off feed about 1 month or so in the winter then he started eating again in spring then both off feed now. Should I just stick it out? I'm sick of throwing money(rats) in the garbage.

I know it's frustrating, but you basically just have to keep with it. I have a BP that's only about 300g and hasn't eaten for almost 2 months. Try offering a smaller prey item, some people have had that work for them. You could also try skipping a feeding, they might be more hungry then and even if they don't eat you saved a rat by skipping a feeding.

I'm new to owning ball pythons, but from looking at other post and threads on here, I think you should stick with it. Some people have had ball pythons that went months without feeding.
