I had to laugh when I read this. :P It really is an addiction.

On a more serious note, that is probably one of the skinniest BPs I have ever seen. Any idea of what year she was born? She has absolutely no meat on her at all! I'm sure it was just the prey offered and the husbandry that was the main factor. Give it a few months and she'll be looking a bit better, but with one that skinny it's going to take a long time to get her up to proper health.

As for the Pinstripe, I'll be offering his first meal tomorrow and I've been on a serious search for ASFs. (Which I discovered are illegal in California, explaining why you had difficulty finding him any. :rolleyes:) If all else fails, he'll just have to wait until I move to Vegas next month where I've already located ASF breeders. He's handled the change in scenery very well, no signs of stress whatsoever.

I hope you get this poor girl healthy, I hate seeing animals treated poorly. :hmm:

that is so sad.:( no animal should be treated like that people like that really pi** me off if you cant handle feeding a live or p/k then dont get a snake especially if they knew it from the beginning she wouldnt take anything but live.:rage: good luck with her hope everything works out with it.:tears:

Are you within driving distance of San Diego? If so, Pet Kingdom sells frozen ASFs - at least, they did when I was there last year. I have an adult who's imprinted on ASFs, and had to get a bag from SD when I visited! Since then she occasionally takes a normal rat, but if that doesn't become more consistent, she'll have to go back to her old owner (who's not in CA). :(

When I got into work and my manager told me I had a new BP in the back that she thought I should take I laughed and told her no I'm trying to get down in numbers. Then I saw this lil girl and she is just sweet as can be, I couldn't say no to her face. We got her in Oct 10 as a healthy late hatchling and she sold within a week after her first meal which I gave live.

Hmm I called PK once to get Asher, that was the pins name btw, ASF's but I only talked to the girl at the register. I will make sure to talk to Matt next time.

What a shame, seeing a healthy animal sold then come back months later in horrible shape. :(

If she doesn't take the first or second offered meal you should probably assist feed her. Does she even have the strength to constrict a meal? Hopefully she comes around quickly for you. Sounds like she got lucky when they brought her back to you.

She did hit the rat pup within seconds of it touching her tub, but she did have some difficulty constricting it. Took her about 10 minutes to kill a 7 day old rat pink. Any ideas on how to make it easier on her to begin with?

I live two hours from San Diego, so it's not an easy drive, but I drove there to pick up the OPs Pinstripe last week and I'll be driving there next month during the Reptile Show to pick up my Milksnakes. I'll have to stop by Pet Kingdom to see if they have any. If not, I'll have to wait until I move to Vegas next month where I've already found ASF breeders.

I'm actually offering him a live mouse tonight. Maybe I'll get lucky. :please:

She took her second rat pup today! Looks like this is going to be any easy rehab :) she hits those rats harder than my boas or carpet python. He feeding response is insane right now!
