It is recommended for ball pythons to have belly heat (again, corns are not my thing). I suggest getting an under tank heater and a thermostat to regulate it. It helps with digesting, and is overall better for them since the lights don't do anything but stress them out and suck the humidity and give them bad sheds. :) If you want some suggestions for UTHs and thermostats I can link a whole bunch to you :)

I'd definitely appreciate the suggestions on the uth and thermostats.

There's a reptile shop not to far away that will probably have some of the stuff as well. One of the reasons I left the rock in the tank was so that he could wrap around it and warm himself up some with that.

Generally the only time I've ever had problem with his sheds and humidity was during the winter, when it gets cool/dry here. Usually the summer months are plenty hot/humid for him. He just shed two days ago, and it was one gigantic skin...

Just wanted to say thanks again for the warm welcome!

I took a few quick shots of him while I was cleaning out his tank as well.

This is one of him, with a small flashlight, trying to get his colors to show more

Here is another one, this time with a LED flashlight, showing how brilliant his colors are

I made some modifications to Mr. Stubbs' tank just after I took these pics. I ended up taping off the 3 sides of the tank with the masking paper, and leaving the front open. It still looks weird to me, but that's because its new. The whole time I was working on it, Stubbs was looking at me like, what's the crazy idea!?
