That's what I have been doing!! She seems ok with it now, especially since I'm going to start breeding mice which she wants because she's switching our cats to a frozen raw diet.

I used to be afraid of snakes (and lizards, lol :oops:). It's surprising how far you can turn yourself around about it given the right circumstances. I have 2 snakes and 11 lizards now and love every minute of messing with them-and yes, been bitten 3 times by a snake so I'm past that phobia too..hehe...grats again :gj:

:D Thanks for the warm welcome everyone!!! Turns out I'm getting my first ever snake within a week! (Depending on how quickly we get his new home set up) He's a male Ball Python!! (The same one as in the pic) As soon as I get him home I will post pics!!!! :D :D :D

hello! im new to this site as well, i got my pops approval instantly cus he likes snakes but my ma was harder to convince i just promised id pay for everything and be the one and only caretaker for it. i told her she didnt have to worry a bit. also, if they are worried about it escaping (mine were) i got these locking lids clasps for 2.59 at my local pet store i think theyre bout same at petco. And welcome BTW :) these people on this sight are very nice and friendly and helpfull. I got a ball python as well 3 days ago. his names 8 ball :D good luck!
