    I had never heard of a chuckwalla they are realy cool looking. I may have to look into one of those. I get how your dad feels because most people get scared or look at me like I am crazy that I have snakes. The lizards not so much.If you could give it more room like a 7 foot long cage I would go for a B&W tegu most are very firendly if you work with them monitors can be more hit and miss and getting bit by one is very unpleasant. However they are very expensive to feed 4-5 foot heavy bodied lizard is alot of lizar. The chuck walls looks cool seems like a unique one to me.
