Why bother coming here for advice if you have no intention of listening or heeding any of it? You don't listen to your parents or care about their wishes or their trust...so why should anyone here bother to take their time and effort to "help" you when help is the last thing you actually want.
At sixteen years old, it's quite obvious you have all the answers already. You know all you need to know, so a site like this is of no use to you. Go do whatever the heck you want, but don't expect much empathy around here if you come back with some sob story about a dying lizard or a dad wanting to throw it out of the house or demanding you get rid of all your pets or any other such nonsense your actions are likely to cause.

My Ball Python is smarter than a 16-year-old. Sorry but your not thinking.

Re: Rage
Hi,
I don't know what reptile rehoming or animal rescue organisations you have in Canada but I think you should find out and pass the details onto the woman wanting to dump her animal into certain death - or set the police on her for animal cruelty if she does so.
But beardies need big cages, high temps, good UV sources and eat a lot.
Your cupboard isn't going to cut it.
Sorry, I know it isn't what you want to hear, but your decision is not the right one for either the animal or you.

This is either a troll or the reason people people don't take herp enthusiasts seriously. Maybe both. Grow up kid. If you can't take responsibility for yourself then you have no business with animals.

Now I will take the hook, line, and sinker and run with it.
My son is going on 16 this month, he has several piercings, changes his hair color almost weekly, drinks when I let him and even has a tattoo on his back that I did for him almost 2 years ago.:O
Why?? you ask??
Because he is open and honest with us AND is a good kid overall. BUT he is still a kid and they all do stupid things, how else do we learn? The difference is he doesnt hide anything anymore from us. (he know I will find it or findout about it;)) I was young once and I DID do it all.
How does this play into this?? I NEVER did anything that put anyone or any living thing into harms way except myself and my son know this as well.
The animals we choose to keep as pets now rely on US to cater to their every need!! So you have 2 choices:
1-find another way to save this animal before YOU kill it
2-remove your head from your rectum, put your big boy pants on AND get a place of your own so you can make your own rules:gj:

Re: Rage
I knew everything at one time too. It only lasted long enough for my dad to remove his belt. Whoo. I never learned so much about life than in that few seconds.
Just saying.

Dude, I own a Beardie and while they are an easy lizard to care for, they need more than just a closet...
Angurius (mine) lives in a 55 gal. aquarium with a sand substrate that I scoop crap from when he "goes" and gets completely replaced every other month, climbing branches (he loves sleeping on them), 100-watt ceramic heat emitter for heat cuz they need the temps to be in the upper-90's F in the basking spot, a UV light that gets replaced yearly (it's due to be replaced the first payday in June), and he even has the freakin' TV in front of the cage to entertain him! ...Seriously, the lizard likes the sounds and pretty colors, especially from Spongebob and American Idol. My dragon is spoiled!!!!
Anyway, you see where I'm getting at? Lizards, especially diurnal ones like Beardies, don't like being in dark, closed spaces like snakes. To give the reptile the "Rapunzel" treatment (i.e. imprisoning it in a closet) is animal cruelty...and it's "keepers" like you is why its harder for responsible pet owners to have exotics! Bearded Dragons aren't like Ball Pythons; they need special equipment and big space to keep it healthy and happy as well as attention from its owner in order to keep it (for lack of better words) "tame."
If you don't care about the health and well-being of the animal as well as disrespecting you parents just for your own satisfaction then you don't deserve to have pets.
