    Amazon.com has aa good deal on a thermostat for ur heat pad. Its a temporary and a good back up. Its called the hygrofarm thermostat I think.. costs 27$ total.

    You may have to go live to get it to eat, also. Most of my hatchling I start on rat pups (live), and then switch them to f/t later, never had a problem with that.
