And my only other real concern is I live outside of philly, it can get real hot in the summer time. I don't have air conditioning because I enjoy the warmth, but if it gets to hot for my little buddy, is there cooling methods, or will he know to go relax in his water to cool down.

And he is starting to shed, I'm kinda excited about it!!!!

I'm just over the river in Jersey, just outside Cherry Hill. Anyway, if you don't have AC in the summer, your room temps may likely get too hot. You can try using a box fan to circulate the air and try to keep it cool enough, but if it starts to get too hot in there, you may have to consider a window AC for the snake room.

And yes, it's perfectly fine to continue offering food on schedule. I've had mine go up to 6 feedings without pooping before, then when she finally went it was a MONSTER. lol
