    Ditch the lamp. They are nocturnal. Too much light will cause issues. They only need under tank heating.

    Welcome, and so far you have been given all the good starting points to having a good start with your bp. I don't use a special or separate tank or tub for feeding and don't have any problems with association of my hands with feeding. Yes do let your new addition acclimate before you do anything with it. This being so you don't have any feeding issues, sometimes handling a new addition to early on creates a stressful environment for them and they don't eat for you. Sounds like you have all the workings for a good set up. Hoping your purchase is from a trusted seller too. Enjoy your new baby :) BTW love this sight has so much to offer. :gj:
