His little pie tin thing says het piebald so I didnt know if I paid 80 for a normal or what but he said he had a chromish belly thats why he picked him because he was different from all the rest. He has the white coming from the belly up and he has little specs along the sides on his under belly.

    Thanks :)

From here it doesn't look like a yellow belly. I would have to see pics of his sides, and belly. He could be a het piebald. Het is short for heterozygous. Meaning they carry the trait. But, it takes two genes to make the "super" or in this case a piebald. You can not tell visually if a snake is het for something. You just have to put faith into the breeder.

I know, it's confusing, but the more you learn about it the easier it gets to understand. A visual piebald is a "super" form of the piebald gene. For example, if you breed a visual piebald to a normal all the babies will look normal, but be 100% het piebald. Meaning they carry the piebald trait.

    I hope I didn't confuse you more.

Lol not at all I am in Biology currently and understand completely. We just got done using Punnet squares. But I was looking more for an example of what proves it to be a yellow belly. Ive heard the specs make one? or that the belly is just less pink.

Ball pythons shouldn't have a pink belly unless they're shedding. How long has yours had one? :O

Well, you are asking the wrong person. Lol. Yellow bellies, in my opinion, are one of the hardest morphs to see. Unless it is an excellent example of one. Which some are really easy to spot.

Check out NERD's description, and look at his pics: http://newenglandreptile.com/nerd/in...llowbelly.html Notice how they have a yellow tint where the side meets the belly, and almost every black line turns into flames coming up from the side.

Maybe someone will post pics of their awesome yellow bellies. But, I'm sure since they are a more expensive morph, if it was a yellow belly it would have been sold as such.
