    Erratum
I have a 19 month old female Mojave.

Her appetite grew increasingly poor as the weather got colder. In September, at a year old, she started refusing the rats I had been feeding her. I switched her to 2 - 3 adult mice weekly, and that seemed to catch for a couple months. Then, since mid - November she's been off/on with her eating, a few weeks on and a few weeks off.

She's now on a 6 week hiatus. She was around 1250 grams a couple months ago, has pooped a couple times and is at around 1180 grams currently. I'll monitor her weight but I'm not really worried. Just a little irritated I'm housing a few adult mice.

She hasn't even seemed interested in my pre-scenting the last couple weeks, even though she's been out of her hides pretty often. She also spent a good 2 weeks almost exclusively on her cold side, something she didn't do previously. She's gone back to her warm side now.

Her temp on her cold side is around 76 F constant and her warm hide is always between 90 and 94 F. Nothing has changed.

I'm pretty sure she's just acting up because she's coming of age and she's wanting to breed. She had an excellent appetite May - September when I first got her.

I just want her to eat and grow. My friend and I want to mate her with his young pinstripe, late fall 2011, and I want her to be at least 1500 g.

    Bellabob
You know what, I really don't know for sure how old she is, I was judging by how long she is. I don't really know for sure if its male or female. Thats just what the pet store told me. But the snake is about 1,252g. It hasn't lost any weight. I'm not worried, I'll try again later.

Erratum sounds quite normal to me the cool side temps are a touch low but fine just make sure they don't dip much cooler.

Bellabob at 1252 male or female can go off food it really doesn't make much difference. It is frustrating and worrisome for us poor mammals if I stopped eating for a month, check my pulse. :D

snakexavier not to hijack (sorry Bellabob) you should check your husbandry I have never heard of a male going off food at 334 for breeding and certainly no female. Check you temps humidity and environmentals, endeavour to create a stable correct environment where you snake feels secure. Remember that snakes need to feel like they are watching you not you watching them.
