    I guess we all have a different sense of humor.

    If I was posting on a site from another country, and someone replied to me in jest about some spelling errors, I would love it!

    There is a difference between having fun WITH someone and making fun OF someone. I read it all in good taste.

    No worries :)

    I feel you spelling pain. I am typing on a nook and iI can't get used to this Keyboard!

    That being said I used to be somewhat feearful of snakes myself. Until I let my husband get a baby ball python. It was just a pet store normal butI really found I enjoyed watching her. Then she went off feed for 3 Weeks! I find it is hard to be afraid of something you are worried about. She ended up being fine however due to situattion out of our control we could not keep her.

    I found I missed having her as much as he did and when we got to were we could have another, I insisted on having one of my own. Fear is usually based on the unknown, and myths.

    I used to be very afraid of snakes and lizards before I started out with owning ball pythons. I actually started out with a garter snake for a pet and got used to being around a snake. I then fell in love with ball pythons and after I acquired my first one I just had to have more.

    Yes I was just having some fun with the way snakes was spelled.so I used an analogy to offer some advice.

    Snacks=snakes
    Start small with some chips=small snakes.
    work your way up to a pizza=large snakes.

    It was all in fun.:)

    You might also get in touch with your local herpetological society and talk to them about educating yourself on snakes and getting over your fears. This way, you may be able to have contact with them in the presence of an experienced owner and you won't end up with a pet you may or may not be able to handle.

    If I may add... Find a local herp forum, people in your area. From there, you may find someone who lives close enough to let you see and hold some of their docile snakes.
