    As I stated above, that ONE picture is always shown as the reason not to feed live. Why is it that it's the only one that people ever show? If feeding live is that dangerous, there should be hundreds if not thousands of other similar pictures out there, but there aren't.

    The history of that picture is that a live mouse or rat was left in with the snake for DAYS, with no food or water offered. That's not an example of a mouse or rat "attacking" a snake. That's an example of a starving animal eating what's available to it.

    And it's most certainly mis-represented as an example of the dangers of feeding live. That's not a feeding live accident. That's a negligent owner accident.

    what has worked for me (i dont feed live anymore) is just soft lights, i use the one from other room just enough i can see them but not really bothering.
