    I've had my cornsnake escape once from a temporary tub I put her in.
    She was only about 6 inches from the tub--she had curled up inside an acoustic guitar.
    I think the biggest mistake people make at first with a missing snake is tearing up the room. Most of the time it seems they don't go too far. :P
