One thing to be aware of, in moving from such a cramped space, he may not appreciate the larger quarters at first and might go off food. I know my guys did when I made the switch from much too small tubs to appropriate sized ones. All you can do is wait it out.

I'd be concerned if he went off feed right now. When I "rescued" him he was severely under weight, almost looked like a hatchling but he's 2yrs old. He's gained a lot of weight since I got him but he's still so skinny I wouldn't want him to go off feed even for a few weeks :/ Would it be best to keep him where he is until he's gained a little more weight or should I move him asap?
Re: I need everyone's opinons!
Yeah, I looked at his pictures and he is a bit underweight. Even though a 10 gallon is really small for a bp his size, if he seems comfortable right now and is on a good feeding schedule, I would say to keep him where he is for a couple more weeks. The most important thing is that he gets up to a healthy weight, and a lot of bps freak out as soon as you change anything major about their environment. Some don't care, but I agree, the last thing you need is for that to happen.
Oh, and it's good that you're already thinking about quarantine :gj: I realized I should have mentioned it right after I posted haha

Yeah, I agree 10gallon is way too small, I can't even fit two hides in it. But like you said, eating is more important. He's doubled in size since I brought him home which was a little over one month ago, so he's on the right track! Poor thing was being fed medium mice, half the size of his girth at the widest point, and he rarely accepted them because he was in a dry, cold enclosure with stuck shed everywhere. When I brought him home I felt like he'd snap in half just holding him, absolutely no muscle! I upgraded him to rat pups last night, which already looks like he'll need bigger meals than that, but he doesn't like them. I had to "scent" it with a mouse to get him to eat it.
And yeah, I thought ahead on the whole quarantine thing! :)
