You should, if at all possible, put it in a different container for feeding, so it doesn't associate you reaching into it's cage with feeding time, but you can try this: put your snake in it's 'feeding' tub, or container for a few hours, if needed up to a day or two, while it's in the feeding container, keep the mouse in a separate container that is ventilated, and put as close to the snake as you can so he/she can smell it. After several feedings like this your snake should be used to eating in that container, and will associate being in that container with feeding time.
But, always keep in mind that ball pythons have little phases where they won't eat, which is normal, but during these times keep eye on their weight, as long as there isn't any rapid weight loss, then everything should be fine.

Putting an already stressed snake in an unfamiliar container to feed may not help. Ball pythons don't typically get cage aggression so feeding in their enclosure is fine. I would give him some privacy. A couple minutes with the mouse with the tank covered might do the trick.

Definitely get a UTH as your primary/priority heat source. Proper heating helps the snake metabolize it's meals better.

i dont know if ur bp do the same as my bp.....
when i put the mouse,he hide his head in the center of body n start to make ball....
do ur snake do the same before eat the mouse???.......

I didn't drop the rat pup in, I just slowly put it in the container. And he was already sticking his head out of his hide and smelling the rat. Then positioned in the "S" and struck, but didn't constrict. Then he repositioned himself again, then about another several seconds later struck at it and constricted, then swallowed. It might be your snake is just a bit nervous of his surroundings or not quite comfortable yet. Was this the first time you've tried feeding him? You could always try feeding him in his enclosure since that's where he's most comfortable
