I feed in a separate container because 1) I only have one snake and 2) I use coconut substrate and the last thing I want is for him to miss and get a mouthful of that. But I think in your case it would be beneficial to feed in the normal enclosure. To each their own.

Just handle her for a short bit, then try feeding. At least you know she'll be awake then. ;)

i woke her up put her back in and dropped the rat in. it took her a min to notice it. she started slowly moving towards it and looked like she was going to strike but turned around. its almost like shes scared of it lol. shes done that 3 times now. should i take the rat out and try again in like a week? or just leave it and see if she eats soon?

I would leave it in for a bit, but keep a close eye on her and the mouse to make sure nothing bad happens. Sometimes I have to open my tank lid and nudge the mouse over to my girl cuz she gets a little lazy at times. :D

i took the rat out. she moved over to the rat face to face and smelled it a few times and lost interest. it was almost like they were becoming friends haha. i guess shes just not interested because she is still sick or shes just not hungry. she hasnt eaten in probably 5 weeks. im taking her back to the vet thursday for the ri so i will ask him about that too. i wish she would get better and eat :(. she also has not pooped since i got her which was about a month ago.

The not pooping thing is not that uncommon. I think she is still a little sick from the RI. I would talk to the vet about it when you go but it is not to the point where you should be overly concerned yet.
